Homestay owner Jossey guides us round his beautiful home. Idyllically situated on the banks of the holy River Pampa in the village of Champakulam 14km southeast of Alleppey, Kaits Home is a serene and traditional Homestay right in the midst of the backwaters. The delightful and attentive Jossey lives with his wife, mother and two small children in the main house which is a farmhouse of typical Keralan architecture. The family is Christian and their heritage in the area stretches back over 557 years; they are involved in the Champakulam snake boat race every August which starts outside their house.
