Where should I go, France or Italy?

Posted on March 27th, 2010 by admin

I went on exchange to Italy this spring, had an amazing time, and I could go back and stay with my host family and see all my friends again. I have been to Italy twice, and that would be my third visit
I have never been to France, and I could go on exchange. The trip is half the length of the Italian one though, although I speak French better than Italian.
Both are homestay programs with some sidetrips, although for Italy I wouldn’t do major sidetrips because I have been before, I would spend more time with friends.

Try France.

Help needed. Thank U speech in Japanese (end of homestay). Thanking you in advance.?

Posted on March 24th, 2010 by admin

Good evening. I am A Wong, a Youth Exchange student from Malaysia

I have spent almost a month in Japan. This past month has been a fantastic experience for me.

The recent 2 weeks are spent in (A). I have the opportunity to live the life of a Japanese youth, attended high school, toured the lovely cities of (A) and (B), learnt much about the Japanese culture and history, and tasted the exquisite Japanese cuisine.

What touched me most is the warmth and hospitality of my wonderful host family, Mr and Mrs Y-san, their family and friends. I have been so well cared for and well fed too. You see, my otto-san is a great cook and he prepares scumptious meals.

I am also privileged to have met ________, the mayor of (A), who had welcomed me with open arms.

I am also thankful to Mr H-san and his wife for their warm hospitality and for bringing me around to various monumental and historical sites, and telling me much about Japan.

Japan is a great country that has achieved much especially in science and innovation. She is also a country deep in culture and history. I am very honored to be given this fantastic opportunity to come to Japan as an exchange student.

As a young person, it is my wish that there be more such exchanges for the young people in future so that we can build relationship bridges and bring the people of the world closer. In this manner, we are taking concrete steps to a better world, a world of mutual understanding, peace and harmony.

As I will be heading back to my home country soon, I wish to take this opportunity to say goodbye and wish all, my otto-san and oka-san, their family and friends, Mr ________ and family and Mr ______ and family, good health and prosperity.

I would also like to wish all my friends whom I have the privileged to befriend all the best in their future endeavours.

Thank you.

Toronto Homestay Ice Skating by haitoronto.com

Posted on March 22nd, 2010 by admin

We took our Toronto homestay students out for ice skating in downtown Toronto! Nathan Phillips Square has a great ice skating rink and we really had a lot of fun… no one got hurt and it was not too cold either, so it was a great success =)

i want to do a homestay or language study in costa rica but…?

Posted on March 22nd, 2010 by admin

but it would be the summer before my senior year in high school and i dont want it to ruin my cross country season. if i went the first 3 weeks of summer i would be missing the first 2 weeks of xc which is mostly just getting out and running 45-60 minutes. if i go through a program what are the chances that they could match me with a host family that has a runner in the family i could run with if i requested it? basically i’m asking, is running common in central america, specifically costa rica or is that something that most people dont really do?

I have no idea, but I am guessing every country has people who like to run. :)
