I’ve been with my boyfriend over two years, and we’ve been through many of those "stop flirting with my boyfriend!" moments, but none as severe as this one.
There has been a girl at his church who he is friends with (which I initially had no problem with,) but I became slightly concerned when she started visiting his house every weekend for hours (she said she was visiting his homestay international student whom she is friends with also). I let it go, but kept an eye on it.
My boyfriend came to me awhile ago, concerned, and told me that this girl had confessed that she "loved" him, and that she wants him to leave me for her. When I confronted her, via facebook (since I have never met her,) she declared that I "couldn’t stop their love!". And the feelings were obviously not mutual, hence the reason my boyfriend let me give her my usual rant to the girls that like to flirt with him.
I told her to back off and mind her space, since i had been together with him for over two years. Eventually she said okay, and agreed to back off. I had said that possibly in the future, the two of them could become friends again. So apparently, two weeks later, she seems to think I’m totally over her little love confession, and has started posting things on my boyfriends wall like "Oooooh i Loooooveeee your new hair cut! It looks so good! "

Needless to say this makes me and my boyfriend quite uncomfortable!

HOW DO WE STOP HER????
Yes, He did tell her face to face that she had to back off and respect our relationship, privacy and space…. Shes obviously not though..! We’re working on the ignoring… but i just have the urge to scream all sorts of profanities at her.

bitch slap the hoe

I am a high school senior applying for 4-year ROTC, but I am also dead-set on spending a homestay year abroad in China for International and Language Studies. Is this possible as a cadet? I have found some cadets who were able to complete up to a half-year abroad, so I’m just curious as to how it works.

not likely, you’re going to miss quite a few leadership labs

but ask the command, i’ve seen it done before, but it’s rare occassions

You need to go through a proper agency.

I have hosted 3 exchange students, and certainly would not even think of doing it without an agency making sure everything is legal.

My wife and I have been married for 10 years and we have twin daughters Malia and Ella age 9. I’m 45 and she’s 42. She used to be a model. I had never cheated on her. and I always felt lucky that she chose me. We bought a big old house with a bargain in a pretty nice neighborhood. shortly after we got married. Since I was laid off last year we took in a couple of homestay international students from Asia and Eastern Europe. In January, there is this Hungarian girl Demi who moved in that I’m instantly attracted to. She’s a bit chubby, pale skinned with big boobs and nice round butt. It was only a matter of time before I started having sex with her when my wife is at work. I love my family and I just don’t understand what’s so great about this little girl that makes me wild and throw all my life away. When we’re not together, I’m constantly fantasizing about her or looking at the pics I took of her on my phone. One time my daughters heard us and they didn’t understand what was going on. Demi is now 2 months pregnant with my kid and I don’t know what to do. Please help me

tell your family. you might be attracted to her because you needed a change in your life. my friends dad had sorta the same issue except it was his secretary. tell your family and deal with what happens. good luck.

Basically, we have an international student program at school. Most stay in the dorms on-campus. On vacations, some will stay because flights are expensive and traveling across the world and back takes up a lot of time for them. They’ll find temporary homes to spend their vacations with. Id love to do it, and my parents are willing, but as I’m female and my guest would be female, is it okay to have an older brother (he’s two years older)? Is that allowed? I know my brother wanted to have a female friend from the dorms stay with us over vacation, but they were very hesitant and worked something else out…

I have a friend who teaches at the local community college. The dorms there close during holidays. They have hosted several international students, both male and female. They have 2 teenage boys of their own. It hasn’t a problem. (It also hasn’t been a problem with the 2 long-term female exchange students they have hosted.)
Chances are that the relationship between your brother and the female student had more to do with the decision to house that student. If the student is a stranger and there is no prior relationship, your parents will likely be more comfortable.

Therefore, I’d like a homestay where is clost to my school and I can go to school by walking, I feel like living near beach if that’s possible. Moreover, the host have to offer more than two meals a day. Besides, my school address is 90 Outer Crescent, Brighton VIC 3186 Australia. If anyone interesting with this please mail me at 100690778@qq.com Thank you

You would be better off doing one of the following :~
~ Putting an ad in the local paper such as the Port Phillip Leader
~ Speaking with your school counsellor
~ Speak with other OS students at school in the same situation
~ Consider boarding school options (ie Scotch College, Melbourne Grammar)
~ Contact Monash University (Caulfield) – they have a social work department that helps/assists OS students with accomodation options ~ they might be able to point you in the right direction!

I desperately want to do some overseas or abroad volunteering in the Summer of 2011 for about 1 – 2 weeks.. I’ve searched for hours and hours on the internet looking for placements but they either all seem to be :
a) Far, far, too expensive (I’m only a student with a part time job) and the places I’ve come across are asking for £900 – £1000 WITHOUT your flights included. I know it’s unlikely that I’ll find something free but surely there must be cheaper offers out there?
b) The minimum time you can go for is 2 months etc
c) You have to have previous experience of volunteering
Ideally I would like to work in community development projects that deal with social issues such as refugees, human rights, international aid, womens empowerment etc, whilst also staying in a homestay so that I can learn and observe the traditions and practices of the people I’m with ( I want to study social anthropology )
Any help or websites would be really greatly appreciated, as I’m started to become so disheartened. I’ve searched so many websites and emailed and emailed but still haven’t found something that I can do.

Please help!

The others all have good thoughts on this. The only thing I can add, as a former Peace Corps volunteer, is to do research on any country you end up going to for the basics: language, customs, greetings, etc. Unfortunately MOST of what you’ll find online is incredibly dated. I went to Albania and a large portion of the research, even what the PC sent us, was outdated. There is just too much to stay current in developing countries. When the time comes try to find an email or blog posting of someone in the country.

Hi everyone, I need help about my student visa.. I’m going back to Japan to finish my high school there. I will not be in an foreign exchange program. My high school (hasn’t told me for sure that I’m accepted but said most likely i will be) has an international department which I will be attending to help me get used to the school and then start from there as a regular Japanese student. The problem is about my visa. I’m Half Japanese and my mother does not have an American citizenship, only green card.. one of the international staff told me that since my mom is Japanese and still has her Japanese citizenship, I will be able to get a special visa. He also told me it would be easier for me to get the visa.. Okay the main problem is we called the Japanese… visa place.. (consulate?) and they told us we can get it within a week. Then we asked the school in Japan and he said it might take within 4-6 months.. which is a big difference.. I also remembered that we asked him about homestay families so maybe he thought I was going to stay with a host family instead of my family. (which I will be staying with my sister). so I’m not sure what’s happening. should I call the visa place again to make sure? Thanks oh yes and I live in California by Los Angeles (that might help a little) thanks again.
lol yes according to the first answer it’s best to ask the consulate… but like… it’s America… people don’t answer things right lol.. (and I’m not being evil cuz I’m american too) and I am going to apply for my visa soon but I’m just worried it might take 4-6 months because then I just wasted one whole year lol.. yes I know its my fault but I couldn’t stand the evil bullying and racism in my area.

If your mom still holds her Japanese citizenship, then you could probably apply for a Spouse/Child of a Japanese National visa, and you wouldn’t have to worry about the student visa at all.

But what do I know? I don’t work for the Japanese government.

I want to get a TEFL certification..It is a 140 hour course at the International Teacher Training Organization at their institute in Guadalajara, Mexico. The tuition is $1400. Homestay cost including meals is $400 for four weeks. This is what a TEFL course typically costs, right? And has anyone dealt with this organization before? Any information will be helpful, thank you.
I also meant to ask if the certification from ITTO is legitimate and if it will be accepted in various countries…

It depends what you want it for.

An entry level job teaching English will accept many different TEFL certificates from many different organisations. Some are much cheaper than others, especially online ones.

For around 1,400 USD you could probably find a local CELTA course which is arguably the best TEFL certificate. Having said that, I would suggest that any CELTA candidate should have at least a couple of years experience before taking the course.
