Posted on February 27th, 2010 by admin

I was thinking about explorica summer academy. I need something without a homestay, and no more than 5,000. And also, if you could include anything to convince my parents to let me go.. well that’d be great! haha.

Learn Spanish homestay intense programme. From UK?

Posted on February 21st, 2010 by admin

Hi

Basically, I have ’some’ knowledge of Spanish, but it really is not good enough and is smoething I really want to improve.

I was wanting to look at a homestay programme, where i stay with a family, immerse myself in their lives and learn spanish this way. By simply searching the internet there are just hundreds of websites and my head just explodes.

Anyone have any really good references or opinions or experiences of websites and good companies? Spain or Latin America I would like to have a look at.

Thanks

Um, I don’t have a good website, but I do have a suggestion to make. I don’t know how much Spanish you already know, but if it is not enough to carry on a basic conversation and make needs known, I would learn a little more Spanish before entering one of these programs. If you do not, when you get where you are going, you might feel overwhelmed and possibly not able to communicate with others around you.
Another suggestion about picking a website is find one that a lot of kids go to and looks secure. You don’t want to give your personal information to any website that might be unreliable.

Language schools and homestay programmes.?

Posted on February 19th, 2010 by admin

I am operating an English Language School here in Yokohama, Japan and would like to expand the business to accommodate students for overseas experience especially within the Oceania region. Any suggestions on how I can contact local the local English schools or academies with homestay programmes? Thanks in advance!.

normally the schools don’t have homestay programmes – private businesses organise these programmes. there is a charge. Redland Shire near Brisbane, Queensland Australia promotes homestay exchanges. check out the following:

International Student Exchange – www.i-s-e.com.au – email ise@i-s-e.com.au
