Is it reasonable to ask for a trip to Montreal as a graduation present?

I want to go to Montreal as a cheaper option to Paris, and I’d like to be in a homestay program and go to a french language camp. How do I convince my mom? The cost would be around 1600 but that includes accommodations, meals, activities, classes and materials. the plane ticket is 300. i’d really like to go

Tell her that this trip would help you learning French and a new culture, also leaving by your own, far from your family, is an experience, that would help you to develop as an grown up person.

So summarizing living all this experiences are priceless and would help you in your future life, specially learning French, that is something that will last for the rest of your life not like a material present.
