Any free/cheap homestays in Japan (preferably in large cities)?

There are Japanese people paying lots of money for short English lessons at private language schools. There’s got to be someone out there who has a spare space in their house for free 24 hour lessons! Where is he/she?

No. Japanese houses are small. There is not enough space to accommodate other people.

And people usually do not want to let a stranger stay in their house. It’s dangerous.

But you can make friends online (like Facebook) and stay at their home, even without English lesson. So there are some ways.
