Check out http://www.brooklyn.liu.edu/globalcollege/lac/ the Global College Costa Rica Center is located in the northeast part of Heredia City, across the street from the National University. Heredia, named after a Spanish Captain in 1763, is 10 miles north of San José, Costa Ricas capital city. In addition to the hospitable climate, students find that the Ticos, as the local people are known, the Centers faculty and staff, and the homestay families are equally as warm. At the Latin American Center, students have the opportunity to live among and study abroad in the interweaving factors that make up the reality that is Central America today. Costa Rica is an ideal location as a departure point for the rest of the region since it comprises so many of the characteristics common to other countries. This episode of Tokyo Swan is jam packed with all sorts of interesting views on what is happening now in Japan. For one, the seasons are changing and Spring is here. Everything is starting to bloom, and the weather is much nicer now. We also take a brief look at the unfortunate case of homeless people in competitive modern Japan, and then a look at a nearby shrine. Finishing the episode, my friend Kevin (of www.dogentricks.com) has moved out of the dorm and is doing a home stay program, so there’s some fun footage of helping him move out. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for all the comments and subscriptions! Please keep them coming, and we’ll see you next time!
